About The Album
Sandhill Rockers is an early foray of Jim's into recording and writing back in the '90's. Back then it was my good friend Scott Hill, my wife Lucille and I that were creating the music. Dennis does play on a couple of the songs in this collection though, "Red Hill Road" one of our first and greatest tunes together and "Down At Scottie's Bar". The rest were recorded earlier on a 4-track by Jim, or by Jim and Scott. All the early stuff was done on a 4-track tape machine which was later bumped over to computer and digitized. A couple of these old songs were redone later digitally by Dennis and I and turned out great but I have to say I still have a fondness for this old stuff from back when I was learning the recording ropes.
